Over the last few weeks I have delivered a number of training events. I was very surprised that these were all at Introductory level.
The first being Introduction to Technology, this was delivered to a group of senior citizens (average age 75) who signed up for 2 hours for 6 weeks workshop. They wanted to build their confidence in using the latest devices, which have been brought for them by the children. A few of the learners had specific goals in mind and the others were not sure what they wanted. Anyhow, the 6 weeks finished on 27th March and the objectives of the workshop have been met and now most of the learners want more. There is no age limit to learning, we are always learning something new every day.
Another event was Introduction to Microsoft Word, now the delegate was asked to attend this event even though they have been using Word for many years. Their line manager felt it was necessary for them to attend because they could not deal with paragraph numbering. Well one thing that this delegate got was more than what they bargained for, in addition to understanding paragraph numbering, they also got to grips with a number of keyboard shortcuts to help with formatting paragraphs. This was a 1-2-1 and the learning was focused on the requirements of the individual’s duties and KITT Consultancy was able to be flexible and provide a session.
Finally, delivered an Introduction to Microsoft Excel to a group of 12 individuals all from one company. The group comprised of members from different departments with mixed knowledge of Excel. Surprisingly, showing them some of the keyboard shortcuts made an impact with many of them. Once again KITT Consultancy was flexible in the delivery and was able to meet many of the requirements of the group and for some went a bit overboard. Here are a couple of testimonials from this session.
